Warehouse Management
The Warehouse management system software is a paperless way for a warehouse to track inventory, eliminate stock picking problems, and streamline the whole inbound, in-house, and then outbound flow of products; using bar code scanners, usually wireless, that tie into a mainframe computer system, a product can be tracked from the dock to production to shipment. The system usually allows the warehouse to eliminate time losses from looking for products which can't be found, and has specific storage locations in the warehouse which allows the tracking system to know exactly where a product is at any given moment.
This inventory management system software uses a proven setup of industry-standard software and hardware, It is designed to meet each individual customer’s goals. After gaining an initial understanding of the customer’s needs we will provide a budgetary proposal which includes estimated software and services cost, as well as a fixed cost to complete a Functional Specification (FS). After the customer approves it, a Purchase Agreement is issued and the FS is put in process. This usually takes 3-5 weeks to complete (typically with one or more revisions based on customer requirements). A typical FS costs from $3500-$10,000, depending on the perceived complexity of the project. When the completed FS is approved, a final pricing letter, which includes a fixed cost to provide software and services, as well as an implementation and milestone payment schedule, is provided. To date, this system has been installed in the following industries: automotive supplies, auto assembly component sequencing, consumer goods manufacturing, education supplies distribution, government publication distribution, chemical manufacturing, food manufacturing, foodservice distribution, office supplies distribution, and printing services distribution. |
